Weird bit depth

Hi Y’all,

When splitting channels of a 4-channel image, I get 32-bit images instead of 8-bit.
Is it a known issue/default setting/something that I’m missing?

Below is the mentioned image.
The image was pulled out from a “.lif” file.
ImageJ version: 1.53C

hi Daniel,

could it be due to your SUM projection? That will convert your image to 32 bit.
