A lab at Sloan Kettering Institute (67th and York in Manhattan) is looking for a talented undergrad part time programmer and data analyst to contribute to the ongoing development of Java visualization applications and assist with varying image analysis tasks including data curation, training data preparation etc. This is an opportunity to work in a diverse group that combines expertise in experimental biology, imaging and computer science and influence open source scientific projects including.

Requires: The ability to design logical, adaptable, modular code, Java, GUI development. Experience or interest in image processing, 3D graphics, JavaFX, mobile development, machine learning, deep learning, scientific image analysis, and visualization all big pluses.
The ideal candidate would be available full time or part time over summer 2019 and interested in possibly continuing in the lab during the 2019-2020 school year and beyond. Candidates starting in fall 2019 will also be considered. Up to $25/hr depending on experience, on site, flexible hours.
