Using BoneJ to calculate the object "length"

Dear Michael,

We try to analyze the skeleton of our images (fungi) using BoneJ to analyze the growth (growth complexity and directional growth).
We have the information of the number (and length) of branch which is great.
How to have the longest length of our object (in “one direction”)?

Hello there, I am trying to automatically extract bone length of segmented skeletal elements, without user intervention. While max. Feret’s diameter from the Particle analyser is a good approximation, it is not really a straight line along the center of the bone, which is what I ideally want to extract from the image.
