Tiling at a particular magnification in qupath

There is a script for producing image tiles https://github.com/qupath/qupath/wiki/Tips-and-tricks
How can I make it give me tiles at a particular magnification, say 10x. In my case the pixel size in 0.4952 um, image width is 61199px, image height is 35221 px and image magnification is 20x

I don’t see a script at the tips and tricks link, but in general those scripts are controlled with the downsample variable. So if your base magnification was 20, and you set the downsample to 2, you would get 10x images out.

sorry for the wrong link. the link to tilign script is https://github.com/qupath/qupath/wiki/Scripting-examples
under the “tiling a whole slide image”

Looks good, and the answer applies there as well.

QuPath v0.2.0-m9 introduces a TileExporter class that makes exporting a lot more straightforward and customizable: https://qupath.readthedocs.io/en/latest/docs/advanced/exporting_images.html#tile-exporter

However I would like to add that it’s almost certainly preferable to define your export in terms of µm/pixel rather than a magnification value, since magnifications can vary rather widely across scanners and microscopes. QuPath will report a magnification value when it can, but tries to avoid using it for anything important.
