Thresholding Question

Hi,
I’m trying to zero a middle range of pixels. e.g. say I wanted in a 0-255 range of pixels, set all pixels with the value in the range of 100-150 to black. Is there a way of doing this, the manual threshold only seems to allow a single threshold to be set.

Perhaps I’m missing something.

Your help is always appreciated.

Hi Amos,

There is not a straightforward way to do this but you might try the following:

  • Use an ApplyThreshold module on the image with Manual as the thresholding method, 150 as the threshold value and setting pixels *below *
    threshold to zero. - Use another ApplyThreshold module on the same image with Manual as the thresholding method, 100 as the threshold value and setting pixels *above *
    threshold to zero - Use ImageMath to add the result of the above two steps to get the final result.
