The EMBL EIPOD PostDoc Programme 2019 is open!

Job opportunity for last year PhD students and postdocs:

The EMBL EIPOD4 programme (https://www.embl.de/training/postdocs/08-eipod/) is designed for interdisciplinary postdocs, i.e., postdocs spanning two laboratories at EMBL with a strong interdisciplinary theme. The programme is somewhat unique in that the postdoc themselves design the project and then the best proposals are asked for interview where the best candidates are chosen - it is therefore very enabling for the potdocs.

Many members of the EMBL faculty, including myself, participate in this. To help stimulate ideas from potential postdocs we have listings of the faculty most keen and their links that can be found here:
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/research/postdocs/eipods (for the EBI), and here:
(for EMBL as a whole):
https://www.embl.de/training/postdocs/08-eipod/EIPOD4-programme/application/participating-faculty/index.html

This programme will take postdocs from any nationality. We are looking for talent, great ideas from the postdoc and enthusiasm, so anyone who is interested is strongly encouraged to apply! As you know, the working language of EMBL is English and there is a welcoming and international environment that brings together many different people from across the world. Given EMBL’s six site nature, many EIPODs will get to experience two European locations (one as base and one as the visiting lab) which also is a great experience. The programme comes with career development, public engagement, and other training modules; we aim to set up the EIPOD fellows for future success in whatever career choices they take.

Anybody interested is welcome to contact me directly, or the EIPOD office (eipod@embl.org) regarding any questions from broad to very detailed.
