Sub scan to local fractal dimension of binary images

Hi all,
I am going to calculate the fractal dimension of some random samples on my image. I want to know which scan type is appropriate for calculating the local fractal dimension of random samples? Should I use the sub scan for that matter?
I have shown two random sample in my image, which consists of two different parts having more dense and less dense of fractals. If you want to choose two parts with those features, which parts of image are appropriate to be selected? Should I use the sub scan for that matter?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best to you,
Aida

Dear Aida,
You can create some ROIs (region of interes) in ImageJ / FIJI and after this step you can analyse them in FracLac.
Best regards,
Ion.

Thank you for your response. I will share my results with others soon. I used the ROIs and subscan to calculate the fractal dimension of those parts.
