I like to measure the total length and average width of a net structure.
My idea was to use a “Distance” and “skeletonizing” operation. If the “distance” and “skeletonized” image are multiplied with each other I get a skeleton with greyvalues corresponding to the width of the net.
It should work if the distance operation would give a greyvalue proportional to the absolute distance but it is rescaled to the maximum width of the net structure like the Cellprofiler help tells:
Beacause of this rescaling I don’t get the absolute netting width. Is there a way to get this one or the other way in Cellprofiler?
