To start the year on the right foot, I just made available via the RoiGroupTable update site in Fiji a small utilitary plugin to facilitate the association of category names to the Roi-group index integers.
It works similarly than the built-in ImageJ solution with the text input field when you double click the rectangle ROI icon, but have a more handy interface + it adds the possibility to save the integer/name mappings to a text file so you can easily exchange your mappings between different Fiji installations.
