Problem with Process>Math>Macro (or bug?)

From what I can tell, using the standard exponentiation op (^) in the Process>Math>Macro window does NOT work e.g.
v=v^2; does NOT work
v=v*v; DOES work

It would be great if a comment to that effect was included in the user manual do save users a bit of time in figuring out why their math macro wasn’t working.

The caret is not a valid operator within the scope of the IJ-macro language. Please see the docs.

You can also use

pow(base, exponent)
Returns the value of base raised to the power of exponent .
