Plot Profile of a line

Hi,

I’m trying to understand the Plot Profile function so I can implement it in another language. When I select a line in a grayscale image using makeLine(), and press Analyze => Plot Profile, I get a plot representing exactly the grayscale values of the line. Is this always the behavior?
