How do I get the OrientationJ plugin to produce a colorwheel of the angles? Thanks.

Thank you, Herbie. Actually I do use that setting, but it doesn’t produce a color wheel in my case.

If you are interested in my example image, I shall later post the steps I used to produce this image from a provided circular pattern.

In the OrientationJ Analysis window, under the Processing tab, in the Structure Tensor window, I check off Color-survey and choose HSB from the drop-down menu next to Show. In the same window, under the Color survey section, I choose Orientation in the drop-down menu next to Hue. I still don’t get a colorwheel with the angle range written on it.

Well Mary,

because an image is said to be worth more than a 1000 words, I iconically illustrate the steps:

  1. A test image (zone plate):
