Microscope Image Focus Quality

Hello.
In my imagej I don’t have an option of classification in plugins.
Why?

I have only:
debug
sandbox
auto run (instead of classification)
kymograph
scripting

thank you

The probability of you getting an answer would increase if the title of your post actually reflected the question.
It seems the question is “Why is my imageJ missing one/some plugin(s) ?”
Possible answer: “Because they haven’t been installed”. See the docs on plugins.

Not sure what you exactly mean by “Classification” but you find WEKA-classification in the Fiji Plugin-submenu “Segmentation”.

For finding the best focus from a focus series, classification appears being overkill. There are simpler approaches that work with high precision. Here is a nice review:

Ferzli R. and Karam L.J. (2007) A no-reference objective image sharpness metric based on the notion of just noticeable blur (JNB). IEEE Transactions on Image Processing 18: 717-728. doi:10.1109/TIP.2008.2011760

(However this review doesn’t investigate all approaches and even some important ones aren’t considered.)

Herbie
