Merge small objects in IdentifyPrimaryObjects?

Sorry for the double post, but there was no reply on the last one.

Hi,

I was wondering wether the option “Try to merge too small objects with nearby larger objects?” (called merge_objects in the code) is just a remnant of an older version because from all I can see it’s not doing anything. Can you enlighten me?

Looking at the code myself, self.merge_objects is never evaluated outside of the settings creation, loading, and visibility routines. In fact, going back into the repository, it looks like it hasn’t ever actually been implemented?

I know this isn’t an explanation, but even back in CP 1.0, we generally discouraged the use of this feature :smile:

With 2.1.0, we have dropped this option from IdentifyPrimaryObjects (at least for the meantime).
