LEXT Image Analysis

Hello, I am trying to identify regular structures on dental enamel in images taken with an Olympus LEXT microscope. I have the image files as .LEXT, and ImageJ seems to open them, but I’m not sure that it’s capturing all of the 3D data in opening. Ultimately, I am trying to get the filters and profile lines to work so that I can use ImageJ to identify (and measure the distance between) regularly spaced structures on the enamel. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to do this? (Please count me a novice with a good deal of the technical language).

Hello @JGamble and welcome to the ImageJ Forum!

Could you post the image here or upload it somewhere we can access it?

Of course. Here is an image of what I’m trying to work with. The lines I want to recognise are the ones that run fairly regularly across the crown roughly vertically. They are most visible to either end of the crown.
