Is there a way to hide the main window while in a macro?

I would like to hide the main window while my macro is running so the user won’t be distracted by it.

Good day Ron DeSpain,

I have no idea what the Main Window refers to and especially under what OS but here is an ImgeJ macro command

run("Main Window [return]");

whose function I could not find out. Seems to do nothing under macOS.

I think this is a task is OS-dependent and could be solved by writing a corresponding shell scrip that can be called from a macro.
