HI
I have a new machine that scans the outside of 10cm tall cylinders to generate a 2D exterior image (with Drosophila pupae living on them). In fact they are not perfect cylinders and are very slightly cone like. The company applies a correction to correct for this, but I wondered if Cellprofiler could do this in a way that we could optimise.
Attached is are two images taken of a grid (the squares are perfect squares) imposed om each other using GrayToColor, with green = without correction , red = with company correction.
Is there a Cellprofiler module that can be used to correct distortion of the uncorrected image as an alternative to the one applied by the company ?
The distortion is consistent between images, no need to be adaptive.
Thanks
Guy
