Installation/ Start up issue

All I get is a black screen when I open the app then this and it shuts down, any advice?

Can you post the output of typing java -version into your windows command prompt? Thanks!

Hi!

I have the same problem stated above. I have tried to install the lastest and older versions but It keeps happening.
When I type java -version, it shows this:

C:\Users\XXXXXX>java -version
java version “1.8.0_172”
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_172-b11)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.172-b11, mixed mode)

It looks ok, but can you try installing/reinstalling the JDK from the link here? I don’t exactly understand why, but sometimes reinstalling it helps.

Also, just to confirm, are there any special characters in your Username or install path?
