With the latest version of Fiji, when image files are imported via ‘import --> image sequence’, instead of having the resulting stack use filenames as slice labels as older versions of Fiji do, the new versions have some kind of metadata specified as slice labels (see picture). Is there a way to recover the old Fiji’s function?
I went through trouble to get the files renamed systematically to record location, z-plane, and time, and all that information is lost when reloading selected sequences with these proper filenames into new Fiji, which brand slice labels as some invalid names containing slashes that can’t be saved in the operating system. If I choose to save the stack as image sequence with new names, information about location, z-plane etc contained in the filenames will be all lost. I hope the developer community can fix this burning issue soon!
Thanks for the help!
