Homecage behavior analyssi

Dear Community,

DeepLabCut is awesome, I already tried the open-field example, it’s really easy to use and with a good result.
So I want to use it for homecage analysis, there is one called homecagescan, we want to use deeplabcut to complete the same function since the software is a little bit expansive. but no idea how to do that, any advice? it should detect the mice body part firstly (maybe 3D), after that how to do pose analysis to decide what kind of behavior? how to analyze real-time?

Best,

Glad to hear you like DeepLabCut! You can use DLC to get the poses, and there is then other free software (either available now, or in the pipeline  that can help with the next steps of “behavioral classification,” i.e. here is some free code where you can use the outputs of DLC to MotionMapper: https://github.com/AlexEMG/DLCutils

We just released the 3D parts, which includes a home-cage demo:
mouse3D
