Filter/Select objects through relation with another object?

Dear All,

In my images I have two kinds of objects A and B.

Let’s say there are 10 A and 8 of them contain B (B inside A).

I’m wondering how would I be able to identify and select those 8 A that contain B (and discard the 2 A that do not contain B) for further analysis?

Thanks a lot for your input in advance!

Hi,

You can use a RelateObjects module followed by a FilterObjects.

Then,
RelateObjects: Set A to be the Parent and B to be the Child.
FilterObjects: You want to keep the parent objects (A) that do have a child object (B). So, choose the “object to filter” as the parent, then use “Limits” as the filtering method, and Category= “Children”, Measurement=_Count, and set the minimum value to be 1 (and no maximum number).

Hope that helps!
David
