ERROR: Multichannel image required

Hi,

I came across a really weird bug. I am getting an error when I am trying to do the following:

  • Import multichannel (including several z-slices for each channel) .nd2 file using Bio-Formats
  • Crop a region
  • Split channels of cropped region
    –> ERROR: Multichannel image required

When I am trying to split the channels of the same uncropped image, everything works fine. Using Tools > Deinterleave for both cropped and uncropped images works as well. When I am saving the cropped image and reopen it, splitting channels also works.

I am using ImageJ version 2.0.0-rc-68/1.52g, build bad6864e55. This error is appearing since I updated my macOS to Mojave and reinstalled FIJI.

Does anyone know what the issue might be?

This is a 1.52g regression that is fixed in ImageJ 1.52h. Use the Help>Update ImageJ command to upgrade.

Thanks, that did the trick!

I have version 1.53a and am getting the same error message – ERROR:Multichannel image required. Any suggestions?

I had a similar issue (that was resolved) here Unable to split a generated multi-channel image unless it is first saved then re-loaded into ImageJ
