EditObjectsManually outlines invisible

Hi,

I am running CP v2.1.0 GIT hash: 0c7fb94 revision author timestamp 20140124151645. I created a pipeline that includes the EditObjectsManually module. Later, I tried to display the outlines from new object set created by this module using the OverlayOutlines module. I was able to select the new outlines from the dropdown menu but they were not visible in the overlay image. The old outlines (i.e. the input for EditObjectsManually) display fine when I select them, which is why I suspect this may be a bug. The .cpproj is attached.

Any thoughts on a workaround would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,
Could you also post an example image so I could give it a try?
Thanks,

Sure, here you go.

John

OK, I’ve replicated the problem; it definitely appears to be a bug, which I’ve filed a report on here.

The one workaround that comes to mind is annoying but it works:

  • Add a ReassignObjectNumbers module after EditObjectsManually
  • Set the operation to “Split”.
  • Retain the outlines and give them a name.
  • Use the outlines of this new object in OverlayOutlines.

What this is essentially doing is assigning the edited objects as a new object set that is identical to the original, and has outlines that actually work.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick response, Mark. I’ll give that a try.

John

This issue has been addressed with the 2.1.1 release.
