Can't update FIJI

Hello,

I get the following error message when I attempt to update FIJI via Help > Update:

[INFO] Reading available sites from https://imagej.net/
[ERROR] Module threw error

I’m not very sophisticated in interpreting these messages. Is there something I’m missing in FIJI or has a fix been found? Thank you for your help.

I think in such cases the best course of action is to install a freshly downloaded Fiji. Make sure you have the necessary permissions at the location you put your new Fiji otherwise updates can also fail.

Hi @GopherConfocal,

sorry for the inconvenience! We discussed this issue here, people who got into this unfortunate situation of the updater not working anymore can do this:

Updating should then work again.

Thanks a bunch! I will give this a try!
