Cannot open pictures using kappa

Hello all,
This is my first post, so thank you in advance for the help.
I am having trouble opening picture using Kappa. When I try, I receive the following console:

Have any of you experienced a similar issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cassie

Hi @Cassie,

Welcome to the forum.

What kind of image are you working with - i.e. what is the file type / extension?
I assume you’re using Fiji, right? Are you able to open the image with Fiji?

In addition to what @bogovicj asks could you also share the image you are using or a similar one. It looks like an image-specific issue (Kappa still has issues dealing with more-than-one channel images).

Thank you so much for your reply.

The image I use is JPG/JPEG , and I can open them in Fiji. But when I open Kappa and click the ‘open active image’ button, the console comes out.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Now I find maybe it is because the size of picture.

When I use a larger picture(Size: 3M), Kappa cannot work.
But when I use a small picture(24K), select a part of the picture first like this:
111
Kappa is running normally.
If I didn’t select in advance, Kappa cannot open it either.

Kappa is not super efficient on large image. That being said 3 Mo should work. If you provide the raw image we can have a look.
