Calculating Detection Areas in different annotations

Hi all,

I’ve been using the pixel classifier to some success to obtain a tumor and stroma area. When I have created objects from this, I have set the object type as detection.
I am hoping to look at the tumor stroma ratio in the peripheral tumor compared to the center. So, after the tumor and stroma detections were created, we created a new annotation for the tumor center using the Objects > Annotations > Expand Annotations and used a negative integer. (See image)

Is there a way to get the tumor and stroma area for just the central annotation using the created detection object? If not, is there a way to convert the detection object to an annotation so I can erase the periphery manually?

Interesting question!

The pixel classifier should already give you the proportions of each classification within an annotation… so perhaps you can use these without needing to generate detection objects at all?
