I am trying to calculate the lattice spacings from a powder diffraction pattern generated with an electron microscope. I am currently imaging an Aluminum reference grid with known lattice spacings.
We do not have a Gatan camera so the image files aren’t in the .dm3 format. We are using an AMT camera that saves them as 16-bit .tif files.
The images have a scale bar ( 0.2 (1/A) ). I have tried to ‘Set Scale’ in FIJI to reflect the TEM suites required units (so that 0.2 (1/A) becomes 2 (1/nm)). The subsequent dSpace measurements of the concentric rings are wildly inaccurate.
I am at a loss as to what to try next. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
