I am trying to make a 3x5 grid (3 rows, 5 columns) that is shorter on the left side, relative to the other (i.e. compressed on the lefthand side, and the grid lines are therefore on an angle). This is to accommodate the laminar structure of the brain region I am analyzing for stereology of a class of neurons. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you!
Is it really necessary to compress the grid? Can you use a cycloid grid if you need to evaluate laminar structures?
I would suggest to use the Multipurpose grid by Alexandr Mironov as a starting point and adapt it to your needs. The macro is published at https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/macros/Multipurpose_grid.txt
There is also a Cycloid grid macro here: https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/macros/Cycloid_grid.txt
