2.1 Color-To-Gray fails on 4 channel images

Hi guys,
Color-To-Gray is freaking out when I ask it to separate a 4 channel image (it is actually 4 channels, I checked in FIJI to make sure in case I’d accidentally lopped one off along the way). It’s fine only pulling 3 channels, which makes sense given the following error. Thanks!

Traceback (most recent call last):
File “cellprofiler\gui\pipelinecontroller.pyc”, line 2615, in do_step
File “cellprofiler\modules\colortogray.pyc”, line 317, in run
File “cellprofiler\modules\colortogray.pyc”, line 363, in run_split
IndexError: invalid index

Would you mind posting the 4-channel image and the accompanying pipeline? Thanks!

Hi Beth,

OK, I’ve replicated the issue. It’s definitely a bug which I’ve reported here. In the meantime, do you have the option of exporting this image as 4 individual files, one for each channel?

Hi Mark,
I definitely could do that; in the meantime I’ve still got builds of 2.0 and 2.1 on my system, and I’ll just keep using 2.0 for that part of my analysis. Thanks!
~Beth

This issue has been resolved with the 2.1.1 release.
